We only collect basic contact and property details to help match you with managers, and we do not ask for sensitive financial or tenant screening information.
What we collect
We keep the form simple. We collect contact and property-intent details only: your name, phone number, optional email, your role, property type, number of units, city, ZIP code, and preferred language.
This helps us understand what kind of rental property help you are looking for and match you with participating licensed, insured property management companies in your area when available.
We do not ask for Social Security numbers, bank account numbers, owner financial statements, or tenant background-check data.
Why we collect it
We use the details you share to respond to your request, communicate with you, and try to connect you with property managers that fit your location and property type. The service is always free for the owner.
OwnerLedger does not manage property, collect rent, screen tenants, or hold trust funds. We are a matching service only.
If you decide to speak with a property manager, you stay in control. You can compare proposals, check fees, verify the manager's license and references, read the management agreement, and decide whether to hire anyone.
What we share
If you ask to be matched, we may share the contact and property-intent details you submitted with participating property management companies so they can contact you about their services.
We do not sell your information as a list of financial records because we do not collect that kind of sensitive financial information in the first place. We also do not collect tenant screening files or background-check reports.
If you are contacted by a manager, ask clear questions about fees, services, and licensing. Common fee ranges in many markets can include monthly management around 8-12% of collected rent, a leasing fee around 50-100% of one month's rent, and possible renewal, setup, or maintenance coordination charges. These are general ranges only, not quotes, and the real numbers depend on the market, the property, and the services.
What we do not want you to send
Please do not send highly sensitive information through our forms or general contact messages. That includes SSNs, bank account or routing numbers, tax returns, full owner financial statements, tenant applications, pay stubs, IDs, or background-check records.
If a licensed property manager you choose later needs documents from you, confirm you are dealing with the right company, verify its license and references, and use that company's secure process.
For questions about our site terms or general limitations, you can also review our Terms and Disclaimer.
Your choices and questions
You can choose whether to submit a request at all, and you can decide how much optional information to provide. If you want help with a question about what you submitted, reach out through our Contact page.
Because landlord-tenant rules, privacy rules, licensing requirements, and record-keeping duties can vary by state and city, this page is general information only, not legal, tax, accounting, or brokerage advice. If you need advice about a specific situation, confirm the rules with a licensed attorney, accountant, or licensed property manager in your area.
